Flash's Journey
Flash's Journey
Flash was the worst neglect/starvation case Serenity has experienced (and we have had some bad ones). He had been starved for months and had a Body Condition Score of 1. He was completely dehydrated, had severe cellulitis and if you petted him, his fur would come off on your hand. Our vet gave Flash a very poor prognosis.- Starting to put on weight, he is still struggling with skin/coat issues and cellulitis.
Flash about 5 months In
After a great deal of work and lots of love, Flash recovered from his skin infection, his hooves and skin healed and he regained his weight. Overall, we were able to put about 450lbs on him. In this pic, Flash is almost through his refeeding program.- Flash nearing his rehabilitation and went to his forever home where he was treated with love and kindness for the rest of his years.
